In a recent interview, “Game of Thrones” cast members Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke talked about their characters meeting for the first time since the HBO show began five years ago, and about what it was like to film scenes together. Meanwhile, updates on Season 6 revealed that new locations are being scouted in Spain and costume designer Michele Clapton may not return.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Clarke revealed how nervous she felt when she first found out that she would be in a scene with Dinklage. “I’m nervous. Butterflies. This is huge,” the actress recalled thinking. She wanted to ask the producers for the script for Season 6 because she was curious about what happens next. She plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen on the show.

Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, was less shocked when he found out about the scene with Clarke. The actor said that show producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss had previously told him it was inevitable for the two characters to meet.

The two actors reportedly took more than the usual number of takes to film their scenes together as they tried to “find their conversational rhythm.” The report describes their filming of the first scene together as an “awkward first date.” The actors are said to have “flubbed” their lines and “accidentally spilled cups,” which led to more takes for the scene.

The two characters are set to learn from each other after they start working together. Clarke said her character could learn not to take things too seriously and may also learn to “crack a joke.” Dinklage, on the other hand, felt that his character could learn how to be a leader from Daenerys.

Fans may have to wait until Season 6 to find out how the two characters really work together. According to a report by Watchers On The Wall, Almeria may be a new shooting location for next season. The producers are reportedly scouting for a new location in Spain.

Meanwhile, costume designer Clapton told Fashionista that the current season will be her last. She has been creating costumes for the show for the last five years and the producers will be using a new costume designer for Season 6.
