It will be a day of doubts and smooth talking as the residents of Port Charles find themselves trapped in precarious predicaments. On the Tuesday, July 3 episode of “General Hospital,” Nelle will confirm Carly’s worst nightmare, as Michael convinces Jason to trust his judgment.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) takes a trip to Ferncliff and tells Carly (Laura Wright) she realizes there is only one way to make things better.

“General Hospital” spoilers reveal Nelle turns on the charm. Nelle has been waiting for Michael (Chad Duell) to fall in love with her and believes it has finally happened. The parents-to-be have decided to get married, and now that she has an engagement ring, Nelle can’t wait to show it off to the Corinthos family and gloat over her biggest accomplishment.

Nelle is eager to inform Carly she finally has Michael all to herself while his mother is stuck in an institution for the criminally insane. Although Nelle may be at Ferncliff to torment Carly though, her visit won’t last too long.

In the promo video, Sonny (Maurice Benard) shows up and asks Nelle what she is doing visiting Carly. “GH” spoilers reveal Sonny reassures Carly. It’s unclear exactly how Nelle managed to get into Ferncliff, seeing as she accused Carly of trying to kill her. Either way, Sonny is not happy to see her there and has to calm his wife down after the visit.

In the previous episode, Sonny learned Jason (Steve Burton) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) were able to uncover the message Nelle wrote on a flyer with invisible ink. Sonny was confident this was just one of the many mistakes she would make and they would eventually be able to get their hands on enough evidence to take her down.

After learning Michael was engaged, Sonny told his son he better know what he is doing. Michael has been working overtime to prove Nelle isn’t who people think she is. Carly has been worried about the dangerous game he is playing, but Sonny is confident that their son’s plan will work.

Elsewhere in the promo video, Jason asks Michael why he is marrying Nelle. Jason is the one who managed to convince Michael that Carly would never do anything to harm her grandchild and made him realize Nelle has been lying.

Chances are Michael will finally come clean and tell Jason he is setting Nelle up. Jason already knows Michael is stubborn like his mother, and trying to get him to abort his plan against Nelle will only push him to follow through with his mission.

Michael is eager to prove he can handle this situation on his own, but will Jason force him to let him in on his grand scheme?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m EDT on ABC.
