It will be a day of anger and heartbreak for the residents of Port Charles as they realize they may never get the happy endings they hoped for. On the Tuesday, July 31 episode of “General Hospital,” Michael reflects on his intentions for Nelle as she reaches the end of her pregnancy.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Jason (Steve Burton) tells Carly (Laura Wight) that Michael (Chad Duell) wanted Nelle (Chloe Lanier) to try and kill him.

In the previous episode, Jason broke Carly out of Ferncliff and took her to one of his and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) safehouses. Now that she is out, she can be brought up to speed on everything that has been going on, which may cause her to have a meltdown.

Carly was unaware of Michael’s true intentions with his plan to take down Nelle, but it won’t be long until she learns exactly what her son has been up to. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal Michael is disappointed.

After crashing into the van transporting Liesl (Kathleen Gati), Michael told Nelle he and Chase (Josh Swickard) set her up. However, Nelle, who was barely hurt in the accident, left Michael to die in the totaled vehicle as it began to leak gas.

In the ABC promo video, an explosion is heard as Sonny and Michael fall to the ground. Although it appears Michael managed to escape his deadly car accident, he isn’t completely thrilled about the outcome.

Michael wanted to scare Nelle into admitting that she purposely drove Carly insane and framed her for attempted murder. However, Nelle refused to confess and before Michael could scare her into admitting the truth, he crashed the car.

Seeing the perfect chance to escape, Liesl fled from the van but ran into Nelle, who conveniently started to experience labor pains in the presence of a doctor.

“GH” history tells us that births in the hospital, let alone deliveries on the side of the road are never good for a mother and baby.

Considering Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas’ (Ryan Carnes) newborn stopped breathing before Lucas even got a chance to meet him, this baby situation could take an unexpected turn.

Could Brad become desperate enough to steal Nelle’s baby if his newly adopted son suffers a heartbreaking death?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
