It will be a day of half-truths and coverups for the residents of Port Charles as a long-awaited trial finally begins. On the Wednesday, Aug. 8 episode of “General Hospital,” Kiki and Bensch face off in court while trying to hide their secrets.

In the promo for the ABC soap opera, Ava (Maura West) tells Kiki (Hayley Erin) that today is about bringing Bensch (James DePaiva) down. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal Kiki prepares for her trial.

While Kiki needs to pay attention to her trial, it will be difficult for the young woman to focus now that she has received an immense amount of support from Ava, who doesn't know about her daughter previously sleeping with Griffin (Matt Cohen). In the previous episode, Griffin professed his love to Ava but later shared some unexpected news with Kiki.

Griffin revealed he planned to tell Ava that he had been unfaithful, but would leave Kiki’s name out of his confession. While Kiki respected his choice, she warned Griffin that the truth would not only result in him losing Ava, but becoming her enemy as well.

“GH” spoilers reveal Scotty (Kin Shriner) confides in Franco (Roger Howarth). In the ABC promo video, Scotty tells Franco he hates Bensch and his slimy tactics. In the previous episode, Scotty attempted to convince Bensch to settle the case out of court since anything could go wrong on the stand.

However, the doctor didn’t like the idea that settling would include some admission of guilt. Bensch insisted he was confident they would win the sexual harassment case and felt a settlement would be unnecessary.

Although Scotty promised Bensch he would do everything in his power to win the case, he also told Ava that he would do his best to try to protect Kiki. However, Scotty warned her that someone may be forced to admit something in court.

Scotty is already aware that Kiki and Griffin slept together after the Nurses Ball, after previously overhearing them discuss that night. Even though Scotty doesn’t want to hurt Kiki, will he use her affair with Griffin to force her to confess to sleeping with a hospital employee?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
