'Genshin Impact' 2.0 Reveal Reportedly Happening Friday, Could Be Disappointing To Some Fans
KEY POINTS
- "Genshin Impact" will reportedly get a new update in just a few days
- The patch is reportedly the "Genshin Impact" Update 2.0
- MiHoYo has not yet confirmed that it will have a live stream activity this Friday
Fans who have been waiting for the live stream date and time of the highly anticipated "Genshin Impact" 2.0 patch may not have to wait for long. According to an industry insider, the game developer might have its announcement this Friday.
"Genshin Impact" insider Sukuna last month revealed the live stream details of the game's next major update. In a new tweet, the insider leaked the email supporting their claim. Based on the leak, the live stream reveal will be an hour-long showcase that would begin at 8 a.m. ET, Friday.
Unfortunately, the insider said the "Genshin Impact" 2.0 live stream will only be available on Twitch. If the leak is consistent, this is a major change in the platform the Chinese gaming studio miHoYo has come up with. miHoYo has previously conducted its live streams on its official YouTube channel in Chinese and in English.
Based on the gaming studio's six-week release pattern, the next "Genshin Impact" update should roll out on July 21. Usually, miHoYo would announce the live stream schedule a couple of days before its actual date and a couple of weeks before the update's official release. Following this pattern, the closest date that fans could expect for the announcement of "Genshin Impact" 2.0 live stream is on July 7, with the actual update announcement on July 9.
The insider also revealed that miHoYo would be hosting a simultaneous Chinese and English "Genshin Impact" 2.0 live stream. Other industry insiders previously leaked that the next patch would fully reveal the Inazuma region. It would reportedly feature the region's first Events and Archon Quests.
During the "Genshin Impact" 2.0 live stream, fans can expect miHoyo to reveal the official release date of Ayaka in the game's character banner, as well as Sayu and Yoimiya's banner. Hopefully, miHoYo would also unveil new Inazuma characters like Guuji Yae and the Raiden Shogun.
"Genshin Impact" is playable on various gaming platforms. This includes PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, PS5, Android and iOS devices.
