'Genshin Impact': Updated Raiden Shogun Build For Patch 2.5
KEY POINTS
- Raiden Shogun excels as a DPS unit in burst-heavy teams
- She works best with other characters that have high energy costs
- Her damage scales with the Energy Recharge stat
The Raiden Shogun’s first rerun banner is currently live in “Genshin Impact 2.5,” and tons of players are already spending their hard-earned Primogems for a shot at getting the Electro Archon to join their party.
With the influx of new Raiden-havers in the “Genshin Impact” community, now’s the best time to take another look at her kit to find out which weapons, artifacts and team comps work best for her.
Best Raiden Shogun Weapons
Alongside the Raiden Shogun’s banner is the rerun for her signature polearm, Engulfing Lightning. Like the rest of the signature weapons, this one is tailor-made to be the best possible option for the Raiden Shogun due to its innate synergies with her abilities. This is a 5-star weapon, though, which means not everyone will be able to use it.
Other alternatives for a DPS-oriented build are the Skyward Spine and The Catch. The former grants extra attack speed and Energy Recharge, while the other buffs Elemental Burst damage significantly.
Raiden Shogun Artifact Sets
The best 4-piece artifact set for the Raiden Shogun is still the Emblem of Severed Fate because of its free Energy Recharge and hefty bump to Elemental Burst damage. The Shogun suffers from an expensive Elemental Burst cost, so having ways to increase her energy is almost mandatory if she’s to be a team’s main DPS carry.
Although the four-piece bonus of the Severed Fate is great, players should still prioritize getting the right main stat and sub-stat rolls on their artifact pieces.
Get as much CRIT stats as possible and use an Electro goblet to maximize the Raiden Shogun’s damage output while using her Burst. Try to at least get the two-piece Severed Fate bonus for the free Energy Recharge, which should free up her sands slot for an ATK% piece.
Raiden Shogun Team Compositions
Having another Electro unit to go with the Raiden Shogun will basically nullify any energy problems they might have. Yae Miko is a great secondary DPS unit with high Electro damage that players can use while the Shogun’s abilities are cooling down.
Bennett can boost the Shogun’s damage significantly while opening up some combos for Overload procs. Meanwhile, Hydro characters like Mona and Xingqiu can be great for Electro-Charged procs.
