In a tweet, the head honcho of everything "God of War" shared a GIF of a Decepticon meme with texts saying, "Looking at some of the news over the last 24 hours." While the director does not mention anything, the meme somehow implies that it denies something in a witty fashion.
There are a couple of possibilities that Barlog's tweet could mean. One is, he firmly denies the rumor that "God of War" would be announced at the next PS5 event. The other possibility is that the game director is trying to keep it a secret even if it was already leaked online.
