Golden Globes 2015 Red Carpet Trends: From Bold Red Looks To Stunning Silver Dresses
Sunday was a big night for trends at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. From chic metallic ensembles to winter white looks, the red carpet was a sea of major fashion moments. Curious what your favorite celebrity was donning at the 72nd annual award ceremony? Well, we’ve recapped the the most styles of the night spotted at the star-studded event:
1. Eye-Catching Silver
It was hard not to notice these metallic goddesses as they strutted down the red carpet in their sparkling, silver statement dresses. Julianne Moore won us over with her sequined and feathered Givenchy Haute Couture gown, Dakota Johnson channeled her inner “Fifty Shades of Grey” with a dazzling Chanel dress, Diane Kruger looked simply stunning in her silvery Emilia Wickstead ensemble, Uzo Aduba owned the red carpet in her ruby-red accessorized Randi Rahm floor-sweeper and Kate Beckinsale rocked her deep plunging Elie Saab gown.
2. Bold in Red
According to E! Online, 13 ladies sported bold scarlet at the 2015 Golden Globes, making red the most-worn hue on the red carpet. Kate Mara chose a cherry red Miu Miu gown that was belted at the waist, Lena Dunham donned an elegant Zac Posen ensemble, Allison Williams stunned in a sequin Armani Privé gown and Viola Davis rocked a gorgeous Donna Karan dress with a touch of beading on the bodice.
3. Anything But Mellow Yellow
Another primary color that was big on the red carpet was yellow. The hue was worn by several actresses, including Leslie Mann, who rocked a lemon-colored Kaufman Franco frock, Naomi Watts, who opted for a canary yellow Gucci Gown, and Jenna Dewan-Tatum, who sported a soft, buttery-colored Carolina Herrera dress.
4. Winter White
These starlets gave us the chills (in a good way) when they stepped onto the red carpet wearing winter white. Kate Hudson exuded major sex appeal in her skin-bearing Versace gown, Emily Blunt looked like a Grecian goddess in her striking Michael Kors frock and Salma Hayek stood tall in her white Alexander McQueen ball gown that was cinched at the waist with a silver belt. (Couldn’t help but rock two trends, huh, Salma?)
