‘Good Witch’ Season 5, Episode 9 Spoilers: Exclusive Clip, Synopsis, Trailer, Cast

The penultimate Season 5 episode of “Good Witch” airs Sunday night, and, as the show so often is, it’s all about the power of love. Abigail’s (Sarah Power) busy planning a trip to Europe to get over Donovan (Marc Bendavid), but he’s busy trying to figure out a way to get her back.

The best way to do that? Disprove the Merriwick-Davenport curse.

In International Business Times’ exclusive clip from episode 9 (watch above), Mayor Donovan Davenport tries to do just that with a little help from Martha Tinsdale (Catherine Disher).

The two mayors are supposed to be discussing their various town agendas, but Martha realizes Donovan’s not paying much attention to what she’s saying. After a second, she comes to the conclusion that it’s because he’s preoccupied with his breakup with Abigail.

Of course, she has some more thoughts about that, too.

“I simply shudder to think that your happiness was ended by that curse,” Martha tells him.

Not wanting to talk about his relationship issues, Donovan asks to reschedule the meeting and gets up to leave, but he’s stopped when Martha reveals she might be able to help him.

“I happen to know a thing or two about this one,” she says. “I am extremely well-versed in all things Middleton, especially town lore.”

“In that case, how do we break this curse,” Donovan asks at the end of the clip.

Will Martha be able to help him end the curse and get back together with Abigail? Goodies will have to wait until Sunday to find out.

In the meantime, with only one episode left until the Season 5 finale, here’s what else fans can expect from “Good Witch” on Sunday:

“As the rest of the town thinks of their one wish, Cassie (Catherine Bell) just wants the best for Sam (James Denton) when he is offered a dream job across the country after successfully performing a tricky surgery,” according to the synopsis. “Grace (Bailee Madison) prepares for her valedictorian speech, while Nick (Rhys Matthew Bond) becomes unexpectedly nostalgic as high school wraps up.”

The Hallmark synopsis continues: “Meanwhile, Martha struggles to make amends with her nemesis, and Stephanie (Kylee Evans) and Adam (Scott Cavalheiro) are overwhelmed when their food truck is an instant sensation.”

The cast for the episode also includes Peter MacNeill (George), Paul Miller (Tom), Dale Whibley (Luke), Paula Boudreau (Dotty), Rod Wilson (Davis) and David W. Keeley (Doug Langfus).

Directed by Martin Wood and written by Vincent Pagano, Season 5, episode 9 of “Good Witch” (titled “The Comet”) airs on Hallmark Channel on Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT.
