'Gotham' Season 3 Spoilers: Did Jim Gordon Break Jervis Tetch Out Of Jail?
It was Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) who pulled out all the stops just to get Jervis Tetch (Benedict Samuel) in jail. However, several photos shared by the Daily Mail showed Gordon running away with Tetch, who is still in full prison uniform.
Gordon appeared to be protecting Tetch, while Butch Gilzean (Drew Powell) and Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) were running and shooting after them.

But what is Gordon doing with Tetch in the first place? Gordon might have a good plan involving Tetch’s escape, but everybody knows the Mad Hatter cannot be trusted.
Earlier, McKenzie told the Business Standard that Tetch is actually his favorite villain from the comic books, so he was really excited when he heard that the show included the character.
As for Samuel, he told Collider that Tetch is pretty dangerous because he can creep up on people and play with their personal fears and insecurities. The worst part is that he does not feel guilty about committing any crimes because all he cares about is spreading the blood of his sister, Alice.
“I think he’s created his own moral compass because all that matters to him is his sister,” said Samuel. “I think he would say that the things he did that were wrong were necessary. He’s a very Machiavellian person. He’s very dangerous, where the ends justify the means.”
As for tying up with the show’s other villains, Samuel hopes Tetch would form an alliance with Robin Lord Taylor’s Oswald Cobblepot and Cory Michael Smith’s Ed Nygma. “There’s probably a greater moral compass to Nygma than there is to the Mad Hatter. I also think he’d get along extremely well with Penguin,” he said. “There’s a viciousness to Penguin, along with the gentleman nature of him, that I think the Mad Hatter would find delightful and charming. It would be a great trio.”
“Gotham” Season 3, episode 15, titled “How the Riddler Got His Name,” will return on April 24.
