‘Gotham’ Season 3 Spoilers: Mario And Lee’s Relationship Faces Threat
Dr. Leslie “Lee” Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) should’ve known that going back to Gotham City will stir up some trouble, not to mention her old feelings, especially since she will come face-to-face with her former beau, Jim Gordon.
Thompkins thought she had her new life in control. She is now engaged to Mario Falcone (James Carpinello) - a doctor who seems too good to be true.
But Gotham City, being the chaotic city that it is, brought the exes back together in the most uncomfortable way possible. The Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel) kidnapped Lee and Gordon’s new girlfriend Valerie Vale (Jamie Chung), and forced Gordon to pick between the two ladies. Gordon’s choice only proved that he still had feelings for Lee, so now he has split up with Valerie.
Now, Carter Matt has reported that trouble will brew in Lee and Mario’s relationship as well. In the November 21 episode entitled “Mad City: Time Bomb,” the couple will be having their rehearsal dinner. However, the threat will expose the new couple, leaving Gordon no choice but to contact Mario’s father for help - Carmine Falcone.
Aside from Lee and Mario’s rehearsal dinner, the episode will also feature Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) seeking revenge, while Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) tries to discover more about the Court of Owls.
In a “Gotham” Season 3 featurette, Bruce was seen talking to Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova) and warning her against the Court of Owls because “these people are powerful.”
He told her he “needed time to research them,” and their friendship might put her at risk. But Selina did not seem to be worried and even snapped at Bruce.
“Once he came back, he knew that he had to deal with them,” Mazouz said. “He decides that he is going to bring them down and bring them to justice.”
It’s sweet that Bruce cares deeply for Selina, and Mazouz earlier told Comic Book that it’s because he decided to take his relationship with Selina to the next level this season.
"Gotham" airs every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
