Grace Vanderwaal Makes It To ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 11 Semifinals; Which Acts Also Nabbed A Spot In Top 7?
Grace Vanderwaal made it through to “America’s Got Talent” Season 11’s semifinals.
On Wednesday night, host Nick Cannon called the 12-year-old to the stage along with fellow singer Brian Justin Crum. The judges and live audiences were all shocked to see the two together thinking that one of them will be sent home. However, Cannon announced that both Vanderwaal and Crum made it through to the next round, according to NBC.
On Tuesday night, the Suffern native sang an original song, “Beautiful Thing," which she wrote for her older sister. After her performance, Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel all gave her positive comments, according to Billboard.
Here’s a look at the five other acts that made it through to the semifinals this season on “America’s Got Talent.”
Linkin’ Bridge
Linkin’ Bridge is made up of four male best friends who happen to share the same passion for singing. The group was up against 62-year-old singer Ronee Martin for the judges’ save, and Cowell, Mel B and Mandel all voted in favor of them. Klum, on the other hand, voted to save Martin, according to Heavy.
Edgar
Edgar is a trio made up of a mom, dad and their daughter. On Tuesday night, they sang their own rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend” and earned praises from all four judges.
Blake Vogt
Magician Blake Vogt also made it through to the semifinals after impressing the judges with his unique tricks.
Malevo
Malevo is an Argentinian Malambo group that has gained popularity for their unique dance moves. They were saved by the viewers via the Dunkin’ Save.
Kadan Bart Rockett
Kadan Bart Rockett is a young magician who typically uses his younger sister for his tricks. On Tuesday night, his sister was the one who played his role.
