The Grammy contenders for 2010 were announced Wednesday evening.

R&B singer Beyonce led the list with 10 nominations followed by 19-year old country singer Taylor Swift with eight.

The Black Eyed Peas, R&B singer Maxwell and rapper Kanye West got six nominations. Pop singer Lady Gaga, rapper Jay-Z and veteran band U2 earned five Grammy nominations each.
