‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 12 Spoilers: Episode 18 And 19 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In The Two-Hour Special?
“Grey’s Anatomy” fans can expect double the drama next week when the hit ABC series airs both episode 18 and 19, titled respectively “There’s a Fine, Fine Line” and “It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Bleeding).”
According to the synopsis for both of the Season 12 installments, Ben (Jason George) will play a large role in the forthcoming episodes — one that will leave his wife, Bailey (Chandra Wilson), feeling more frustrated than ever. In episode 18, Ben will make the bold decision to operate on a pregnant patient (without the proper surgical equipment) when the hospital goes into lockdown.
His impulsive decision will put Bailey, Grey Sloan’s newest chief of surgery, in a sticky situation when she’s forced to reprimand the resident for going against protocol. This wouldn’t be the first time Bailey had to bring the hammer down on Ben. In a previous episode, she suspended him after he operated on a patient with a clipboard — a risky move that ultimately saved his patient’s life.
Miranda will “continue to deal with the aftermath of Ben’s reckless decision” in episode 19, when she faces an advisory committee to discuss proper disciplinary action against him. But can Bailey prove that her husband’s rash actions were justified? Or will Ben be asked to hang his scrubs up for good?
Miranda and Ben won’t be the only couple stuck between a rock and a hard place in episodes 18 and 19. The summary reveals that Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) will “try to put their differences aside” for the sake of their baby. But we have a feeling that it’ll be hard for the tumultuous pair to be cordial to one another following their heartbreaking divorce.
Audiences can also anticipate some drama from Calzona! In episode 19, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) will be forced to make a decision that could affect her relationship with Callie (Sara Ramirez) … “forever.”
“Grey’s Anatomy” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
