Gwen Stefani-Gavin Rossdale Update: She’s ‘Blown Away’ By Blake Shelton After Ex's Criticism During Marriage, Source Says
“Used To Love You” singer Gwen Stefani is thrilled about her new relationship with country star Blake Shelton. While her ex-husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, was critical of her, she’s “blown away” by the kindness Shelton has shown her, TMZ wrote in an exclusive report Friday.
Stefani, 46, filed for divorce from Rossdale two weeks after Shelton, 39, announced his divorce from fellow country artist Miranda Lambert in July. She and Shelton were able to connect over their breakups: While Rossdale was a “control freak” who criticized her parenting skills and claimed she wasn’t a supportive wife, she was shocked with how gentle Shelton was with her. "It made her feel good again," an insider told TMZ.
Rossdale, 50, is concerned about how the No Doubt singer’s new relationship will affect their children: Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 1. “Gavin is hurt, but he is being strong-- it is really all about how his kids will take the news that he’s most concerned about,” an insider told Hollywood Life Thursday. “Gavin is confused that Gwen is moving on so fast and is worried that it will not be good for the children.”
Stefani reportedly flew to Nashville, Tennessee, to party with her beau after the 2015 CMA Awards Wednesday. While she was romping around the country music capital, Rossdale took care of their children in Los Angeles, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported Thursday. The singer didn’t appear to be upset by his divorce as he grabbed food with Kingston, the site noted.
Rossdale hasn’t issued a statement since it was confirmed Stefani and Shelton were dating. The English rocker typically keeps a low profile and rarely posts to social media. The last time he tweeted was to thank fans for birthday wishes. Before that, it had been weeks since he wrote on the 140-character social media site. Despite their divorce, Rossdale and Stefani still follow each other on Twitter.
