Gwen Stefani Shockingly Age Shamed After NBC Performance: 'You're 50 Just Stop'

Gwen Stefani was age shamed after a recent performance.

On Tuesday, the 50-year-old performer rocked white-trimmed glittery sweater and shorts and had her platinum blonde hair in a ponytail for her NBC New Year’s Eve 2020 performance. Blake Shelton’s girlfriend completed her outfit with above-the-knee sparkling stiletto boots.

The “No Doubt” singer also wore bright lipstick. Some said she was at her best, but some still criticized her.

“ @gwenstefani you are 50. Just stop,” one social media user wrote on Twitter.

“Question... is @gwenstefani the worst lip syncer ever or is she so botoxed and collagened up that she just looks dead inside?” Carlos Danger wrote.

However, some were also impressed by how young she still looks even if she’s already 50. In fact, one online user noted that she had to Google the singer to prove to her kids her actual age. Her son joked that Stefani is “harvesting the souls of children.”

Another said that it was an awfully odd coincidence that she stopped visibly aging around the time the Harajuku Girls disappeared.

Meanwhile, another user even compared the singer to actress Lindsay Lohan. The user said that Stefani looks younger than the latter.

“I just saw 33-year-old Lindsay Lohan on CNN and 50-year-old Gwen Stefani on NBC. Age-wise, they look the other way around,” @MichaelPacholek wrote.

In related news, Stefani was spotted looking festive with her boyfriend Blake Shelton days before Christmas. She was seen shopping at Beverly Hills at the tiime.

Stefani sported a patterned shearling coat that featured a fur collar, cuff and trim. She also wore a white vintage Jordache T-Shirt with a gold necklace and black glasses hanging from her shirt. She paired her get-up with black stretch pants and white cowboy boots.

Prior to the sighting, the couple sparked proposal rumors. Shelton had just released his single “Nobody But You” which featured Stefani. The lyrics talk about a person who is in love with someone and doesn’t want to lose them by waiting around for too long. This prompted their fans to speculate that it was indicative of his upcoming proposal. Fans also felt the same when Stefani released their holiday duet song “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.”
