Halle Berry And Olivier Martinez Seen Together After Filing For Divorce; Why Do They Still Want To See Each Other?

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are remaining on good terms despite their impending divorce. The two were spotted together Saturday, but it wasn’t a date. They reunited for Berry’s daughter.

Berry and Martinez took Nahla, 7, to a birthday party in Los Angeles, People reported. Nahla is Berry’s child from her relationship with Gabriel Aubry; she has a son with Martinez, Maceo, 2.

Family bonding is very important to the actors. Martinez is “very happy that he and Halle are able to keep a good relationship,” a source told People. “They want to make the divorce as painless as possible for the kids.”

Berry, 49, married Martinez, 49, in July 2013, but the two filed for divorce in October, citing irreconcilable differences. But that hasn’t stopped the two from living their lives as normally as possible. Berry attended a charity event on Thursday and told reporters about how she was handling her divorce.

“I'm doing OK, I really am,” the “X-Men” actress told "Extra." “I, I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with.”

Although their divorce seems to be going forward, Martinez was still wearing his wedding band when they were together. It isn’t clear if Berry was wearing her ring Saturday.

Martinez is still on good terms with the former “Extant” star, which is more than Berry’s other ex David Justice can say. The former baseball player, who was married to Berry from 1993-1997, recently went on a Twitter rant to tell followers he is still angry that Berry never defended him after rumors spread that he abused her. In tweets that are now deleted, Us Weekly reported that he said all of Berry’s ex-husbands “were all her 'Knight in Shining Armor,' until it ends. Then we all become the worst guys in history.”

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Martinez. TMZ described their split as “civilized.”
