The original casting director of the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," which launched Miley Cyrus' career, has revealed the other actresses who were considered for the titular role.

Lisa London shared in a video posted to TikTok that "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen and Daniella Monet, who appeared on Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101" and "Victorious," came close to snagging the gig and made it to the final casting round back in 2005, a year before "Hannah Montana" premiered on Disney Channel.

London made the revelation in response to a viral video posted by TikTok user @fernandacortesx claiming that Spanish-Mexican singer and "Cheetah Girls" star Belinda Peregrin was one of the top three teen actresses who were considered for the role of Miley Stewart, who was originally named Chloe.

"I wanted to let everybody know that Belinda, who's lovely by the way, was never in the top three for the role of Hannah," London shared, before showing a piece of paper containing a list of the three actresses vying for the role.

According to the list, the "Party in the USA" singer, Momsen and Monet were the top contenders to play the middle school student and secret pop star after beating out about 1,200 actresses who auditioned at the network test.

London's video has garnered over 3 million views since it was posted, and fans couldn't help but express their shock over the revelation in the comments section.

"So, you're telling me Trina [Monet's 'Victorious' role] was almost Hannah Montana?" one user wrote.

Another commented, "If Taylor got cast, she would've never been on ['Gossip Girl']. She was the perfect Little J, so everything works out."

Monet, 33, also responded to the video. She sent her love to the casting director in the comments section, writing, "Love you, Lisa," along with a heart hands emoji.

The casting decision came five years before Monet landed her big break as Trina, Tori Vega's cunning and tone-deaf sister in "Victorious," and two years before Momsen was cast as Jenny Humphrey on the CW teen drama series, according to Cinema Blend.

Monet appeared on the Nickelodeon series from Season 1 to Season 4 and recently joined "Victorious" co-star Matt Bennett on his tour in Chicago this year.

Meanwhile, aside from acting, the 29-year-old "Gossip Girl" alum began pursuing a music career as part of the alternative-rock-punk band The Pretty Reckless in 2010. The band released singles such as "Only Love Can Save Me Now," "Heaven Knows" and "Make Me Wanna Die."

"Hannah Montana," which ran from 2006 to 2011 and spawned the 2009 film "Hannah Montana: The Movie," is currently streaming on Disney+.
