CBS isn’t looking to make enemies with “S.W.A.T.” fans by canceling their favorite show.

The action series, which has its Season 2 finale tonight, was renewed last week for Season 3. The network also renewed “Seal Team,” “Madam Secretary,” “Bull,” “Hawaii Five-0” and “MacGyver” for new seasons at the same time.

Season 2 of “S.W.A.T.” has been averaging 5.281 million weekly viewers, according to TV Series Finale, and a 0.78 rating in the 18-49 demo. Those numbers could rise with Thursday’s Season 2, episode 23, titled “Kangaroo.”

“The SWAT team goes in pursuit again of the militant group The Emancipators when the criminals hold a live stream kangaroo court to publicly execute city politicians,” the synopsis reveals. “Also, Hondo (Shemar Moore) fights to lift Darryl’s (Deshae Frost) spirits.”

The synopsis continues: “Deacon (Jay Harrington) feels unworthy as he prepares to receive one of the LAPD’s highest honors; and Street (Alex Russell) catches a break in the search for his missing parolee mother, Karen Street (Sherilyn Fenn).

Also in the cast for this episode is Debbie Allen, who guest stars as Hondo’s mother, Charice Harrelson.

Catch the Season 2 finale of “S.W.A.T” on CBS on Thursday at 10 p.m. EDT.
