‘Hearts Down Under’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Spring Fling may officially be over, but that doesn’t mean hallmark Channel is leaving its loyal fans without some new movies until their next programming event. The network will be airing its new film, “Hearts Down Under,” starring Cindy Busby and Tim Ross, this weekend.
Busby has become a Hallmark staple over the years, starring in “Unleashing Mr. Darcy” and “Marrying Mr. Darcy,” as well as the films “Royal Hearts,” “Romance in the Air,” “Follow Me to Daisy Hills” and “Chasing Waterfalls.” She also starred in “A Godwink Christmas: Meant For Love” on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Ross will be a new face to devoted Hallmark fans however, as this is his first film on the network, though he may be well known for other projects and titles, including roles on “Home and Away,” “Harrow” and “Dive Club.”
So what will happen when these two team up? Let’s find out.
“New York restaurateur Caroline (Busby) has her hands full with her own restaurant. So, when she learns that her beloved aunt has left her a café--in a faraway small town, Lemon Myrtle Cove, Australia—she is touched, but it seems like the last thing she has time for,” the synopsis reads. “However, she realizes that heading to Australia is the perfect opportunity to clear her head.”
When she gets there, Caroline is surprised when she sees the café is busy, especially after she finds the food to be less than impressive—and winds up insulting the chef, Simon (Ross). Realizing that the café needs more commitment than she can give it, she decides the only thing she can do is fix it up and sell it.
“The problem with doing that in a town the size of Lemon Myrtle Cove is that the only available contractor for miles happens to be Simon,” the synopsis reads.
However, Simon decides to give her another chance and winds up agreeing to help. As their time working together stretches on, Caroline will begin to wonder if life in Australia, the café, and the man she has by her side, are the things she really wants in her life.
“Hearts Down Under” premieres Saturday, April 24 at 9 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
