The newly dropped "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" marked the final movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 and it will surely have a long-lasting impact on the next phase.

Since its release last week, fans couldn't stop discussing how the "Black Panther" sequel is going to impact Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Phase 5.

Let's have a look at things that happened in the movie and how they will impact upcoming movies.

Ironheart's debut

In Marvel comics, Ironheart, aka Riri Williams, was mentored by Iron Man. But in the MCU, Iron Man died in "Avengers: Endgame," which was dropped in 2019. "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" showed how Queen Ramonda and Shuri took Ironheart under their wings instead.

Namor

Apart from Ironheart, "Black Panther 2" also introduced Namor (played by Tenoch Huerta) as a mutant. This indicates that Namor can be one of the X-Men in the future.

Queen Ramonda's death

Queen Ramonda (played by Angela Bassett) dies as she tries to save Ironheart from Namor army's attack. Wakanda now needs a new queen. The contenders are Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright), who is also the new Black Panther, and M'Baku (Winston Duke).

T'Challa and Nakia's son

In the end-credit scene, fans will witness Shuri visiting Haiti for her brother's, T'Challa (the original Black Panther), farewell ritual. The scene shows Nakia arriving with a young boy, suggesting that he will carry forward the legacy of T'Challa.

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," helmed by Ryan Coogler, was released on Nov. 11 in theaters. It also stars Daniel Kaluuya, Michaela Coel, Danai Gurira and Jarrell Pyro Johnson.

In the upcoming phase of MCU, fans will get to see "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," which will release on Feb. 17 next year. Another highly anticipated movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," is slated to release on May 5. "The Marvels," featuring actress Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, will drop on July 28.
