'Heroes Reborn' Spoilers: Noah Bennet Finds Hiro Nakamura In Episode 6; Claire Bennet's Death To Be Answered [RECAP]
Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) has been searching for his old friend Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) on NBC's "Heroes Reborn." After weeks of build up, Noah and Hiro finally reunited in episode 6 “Game Over,” and Noah is now closer than ever to finding out what happened to his beloved daughter Claire. Unfortunately for Noah, the price of finding Hiro came with bloodshed.
While Carlos (Ryan Guzman) searches for his family by using Capt. Dearing (Dylan Bruce) to get to an organization called Sunstone, Noah begins the episode searching for Hiro. He tries to beat the answers out of Harris Prime (Clé Bennett), but he still won’t talk. It takes Noah dunking Harris in and out of a pool to finally get Harris to talk; he agrees to take Noah to where Hiro is located.
Miko is back in the video game searching for her father. It turns out Erica (Rya Kihlstedt) is aware of the Evernow video game and starts changing the game on her so she can’t save the person being held prisoner in the game. Miko leaves the game and discovers the fortress she’s searching for is a Renautas research center. She goes back into the video game and, along with Ren, they fight a giant guard. They’re able to defeat the guard, but Ren’s laptop battery dies, leaving her alone in the game.
Noah and Quentin (Henry Zebrowski) go to a Renautas research center and Harris starts to lead them through the complex. They come to a basement where Miko appears, sees Harris and charges him with a sword. She starts fighting off all of them with her sword and Harris is able to escape. Noah stops her from fighting and tells her that the sword she's using belonged to an old friend of his who he’s there to find. It turns out she’s there to find Hiro, too, and they realize they’re on the same side.
While Miko transports herself back into the video game, Noah and Quentin continue to search for Hiro, and they come to a room with a time machine on it. They come across Richard Schwenkman (Michael Therriault), a scientist who reveals Renautas is harvesting Hiro’s power to create a machine for time travel so Erica can create the future she wants. Schwenkman says Hiro has been trapped in the video game Evernow and their only hope to get him out is for Miko to sacrifice herself.
Inside Evernow, Miko battles an alternative version of herself. It’s revealed that Miko is not a real person, but was a video character meant to act as a virus in the game. Miko returns to the real world when a group of Harris’s show up and start attacking along with Quentin’s sister, Phoebe (Aislinn Paul). Phoebe is able to make evos powers not work and Miko is unable to use the power of the sword, until Quentin tackles his sister.
Phoebe tells him that if they free the time traveler they all die. She attacks him using her shadow power and is about to kill him, but Noah hits her with a piece of metal. However, she fatally wounded her brother and in his last word he asks Noah if he saved his sister and Noah tells him he did good.
Miko defeats the evil version of herself in the video game and completes her mission appearing to sacrifice herself. Harris walks back in and goes to finish off Noah and fires his gun at him when time stops and the bullet remains frozen in the air. Hiro emerges and unplugs himself from a machine as Noah tells him it’s good to see him.
Hiro tells Noah he won’t take him back to the past because changing it is too dangerous. Noah tells Hiro what Erica has done and Hiro agrees to time travel again to right the wrong Erica has caused. The two travel back to when it all began on June 13 as Noah continues to search for answers to Claire’s demise.
