Hilaria Baldwin has shared on Instagram the unfortunate news that she and her husband Alec Baldwin have suffered a miscarriage and lost their fifth child. The pregnancy had been four months along.

“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months. We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be,” Baldwin captioned the post.

The post features a video that shows her and her daughter Carmen just after the yoga instructor shared the news with her. As Baldwin sits somberly with tears in her eyes, her young daughter comforts her. They share that they may try again for another “baby sister” really soon.

“I told Carmen and took this so I could send it to Alec. I guess this is a good way to share it with you too. I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all...but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time,” she added in her post.

The post was flooded with support from loved ones, family, and fans all expressing their condolences and love for the couple. Baldwin’s niece, Hailey Bieber, commented “I’m so sorry. Love you guys.”

According to E! News, the couple went through a similar experience earlier this year with another miscarriage, but just 5 months later, in September, they announced they were pregnant again. The couple currently has four kids together-- Carmen, and three sons Rafael, Leonardo, and Romeo. Baldwin is also a father to model Ireland, whom he had with his ex, Kim Basinger.
