Ant Anstead supports his ex Christina Haack's decision to sell their family home.

Following their split last year, the "Flip or Flop" star, 37, put the Newport Beach, California, home they shared during their marriage on the market for $6 million in April. Anstead, 41, said he has no issues with it and even thought that it was the "right decision."

"I'm really happy for her," the "Wheeler Dealers" star told People. "I think it's the right decision. That home has memories."

Anstead and Haack purchased the property, which spans 4,804 square feet and boasts five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, back in 2018 for their blended family. The exes share a 1-year-old son, Hudson. She also shares daughter Taylor, 10, and son Brayden, 5, with ex Tarek El Moussa, while Anstead and his first wife Louise Anstead share daughter Amelie, 17 and son Archie, 14.

"I mean, I did an awful lot in that house, and it's a big home for somebody on their own," Anstead continued. "It was a home that we got together, renovated together. And I physically did a lot of hands-on work on it. I mean, the stairs, the wine rack, the light fixtures above the bed, the 'love' sign … all those personal touches I did."

The automotive expert, who purchased a new home in Laguna, Beach in May, said he believes that all the work he did on the home may have contributed to Haack's decision to sell the property since it would only remind her of their shared memories there.

"Anyone can go and buy something, but to have it made is different," he explained. "I imagine, for Christina's world, she needed to have that fresh start. Because she would've been living in a surrounding of reminders."

Haack announced their split in September 2020 via social media after less than two years of marriage.

"Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future," she wrote on Instagram.

Following their breakup, Antstead enrolled in a five-week breakup recovery program that is designed to help one move on from the pain of a broken relationship. He announced his involvement in the course after completing it.

"I am now on day 30 of this and I have to say it’s been a lifeline for me," he wrote on his Instagram Story in October 2020, encouraging others going through a similar experience to do the same. "If anyone out there needs this DO IT!"
