Kate Middleton celebrated her birthday with her husband Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, at home.
The Duchess of Cambridge turned 39 on Saturday. Due to the pandemic, she celebrated her special day in a different way but still with the people dear to her.
Middleton usually marks the occasion by organizing a weekend shooting party with her friends at her country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Last weekend, she just had a "quiet birthday" and enjoyed a tea party organized by the Duke of Cambridge and their three kids, Mail on Sunday editor Emily Andrews reported.
Despite not having a grand celebration, the members of the royal family did not forget to extend their well wishes to her on social media. Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles and Queen Elizabeth II all paid tribute to Middleton on her birthday.
The Royal Family shared two photos of Middleton. The first picture featured the duchess with her beautiful smile. The second snap featured Prince William's wife with Her Majesty.
"Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very happy birthday today! #HappyBirthdayHRH @kensingtonroyal," the message read with a cake emoji.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also shared another stunning photo of Middleton to celebrate the event. Middleton is gorgeous in her white top as she smiles under the sun in the snap.
"Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge!" the Clarence House wrote alongside a confetti ball emoji.
Several netizens also flooded Middleton with warm and sweet messages on her birthday. The duchess responded by thanking everyone who remembered her on her special day.
"Thank you for your kind wishes on The Duchess’ birthday," Kensington Palace tweeted with a photo of Middleton waving her hand while wearing a floral face mask. "Birthdays have been very different in recent months, and our thoughts continue to be with all those working on the front line at this hugely challenging time.”
Last year, Kensington Palace released a never-before-seen photo of the duchess sitting on a fence on her birthday. Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace shared three photos of Middleton with the Queen. In one picture, the two were seen seated beside each other with huge smiles on their faces.
Initially, many thought that Middleton's birthday would be overshadowed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit announcement. However, the royal family put on a united front to celebrate the future queen's natal day.
