‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 3 Spoilers: Who Killed Wes? Alfred Enoch, Karla Souza Think It Was The Mahoney Family
“How To Get Away With Murder” has emerged as the king of suspense. The Season 3 fall finale revealed that the unidentified male who died in Annalise Keating’s (Viola Davis) house during the fire was none other than Wes Gibbs (Alfred Enoch). Although it is now known who died, it’s still unclear how he died.
More importantly, Nate (Billy Brown) told Annalise that Wes died before the fire. So, who killed him?
Enoch and Karla Souza feel that the Mahoney family is responsible for murdering Annalise’s surrogate son. After all, Wes wrongfully accused Charles (Wilson Bethel) for murdering his father Wallace (Adam Arkin). He even testified it in court.
“I think it’s the Mahoneys,” Karla Souza, who plays Laurel, told Entertainment Weekly. “They have the money and the means to contract someone to do such a barbaric thing, and they’re not emotionally tied to it at all. I think it’s ludicrous to think it would be Annalise or Nate. I don’t think it’s as sinister as that.”
Other actors in “How To Get Away With Murder” Season 3 shared their theory on who offed Laurel’s boyfriend. “For a moment there, I thought it was maybe Frank [Charlie Weber], but then that’s just way too cruel,” Aja Naomi King, who plays Michaela Pratt, told the publication. However, she later suggested that Wes may have suicided. “Maybe Wes killed himself because he couldn’t bear to deal with it all anymore.”
Meanwhile, Charlie Weber, who plays Frank Delfino, thinks an outside party that is seeking retribution toward Annalise murdered Wes. Jack Falahee, who plays Connor Walsh on the ABC series, thinks he could have faked his death.
Regardless of whoever the culprit is, fans are going to learn more about the Mahoneys when “HTGAWM” returns. “There’s going to be an ongoing exploration of the Mahoneys,” Liza Weil, who plays Bonnie Winterbottom, said. “I think that might come into play. It certainly makes me, as Liza, feel better to think that this was not done at one of our hands.”
“How To Get Away With Murder” Season 3 returns on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
