How Gwen Stefani’s Kids Influenced Blake Shelton Relationship After Gavin Rossdale Split

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating for over three years, but a new report claims the “Cool” singer fell for “The Voice” coach after she witnessed his interaction with her three kids.

Prior to their romance, Stefani was married to Gavin Rossdale, who she shares sons Kingston, 13, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 5 with. Meanwhile, Shelton was married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert.

When Stefani and Shelton began dating in 2015, the “God’s Country” singer was able to quickly win over the No Doubt artist’s heart by forming a loving bond with her boys. “He’s extremely close to them,” a source told US Weekly.

While Shelton managed to impress Stefani by forming a bond with her children, the 42-year-old was smitten by the blonde beauty’s ability to be “like one of the guys” during their downtime. “She stays away from the Hollywood scene and is a total homebody,” a second explained.

“Take away her celebrity status and she shares the same traditional Midwestern values as Blake.”

During an interview with the “Today” show in December, Shelton revealed he wasn’t “just dating” the “Hollaback Girl” singer.

“This is something that I feel like is meant to be. I’ve learned more from Gwen Stefani as a human being, and how to grow as a human being, than I have from anybody ever in my life — anybody.”

Nowadays, Stefani and Shelton spend time with her boys in Los Angeles and at the country singer’s ranch in Oklahoma. “Blake loves getting dirty with the boys. They’re always playing basketball or running around,” an insider previously revealed.

“They love it there because it’s just the five of them out on the land, hunting or hiking.”

While there have been reports suggesting Shelton and Stefani want to get married, the two have not announced any engagement plans.
