‘How I Met Your Mother’ Season 8 Spoilers: Trouble For Barney And Robin? Robin's Former Crush Michael Trucco Returns

How I Met Your Mother fans learned in the season seven finale that Barney's mysterious bride is none other than Robin. Unfortunately for Barney, it looks like Robin still has to kiss a couple more frogs until she marries her prince charming.

TVLine reports that Fairly Legal actor Michael Trucco will be reprising his role as Robin's crush in season eight of HIMYM.

If Trucco looks somewhat familiar, it's because the actor already appeared on HIMYM in season six. Trucco's character, who was only known as Crush, caught Robin's eye in season six, and now it looks like Robin will get some time to act on that crush in season eight.

Trucco will appear in a multi-episode arc when the show returns to CBS this fall, reports TVLine.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the plan had been to initially bring back Trucco last season, but due to his commitment to USA's Fairly Legal, his story line with Robin had to be held off. Instead last season Robin ended up having a rendezvous with Kal Penn, who played Kevin, her court-appointed therapist.

We already know that Robin's relationship with Crush is doomed since she ends up marrying Barney, but you can check out Michael Trucco's bound to be hilarious interactions with the gang this fall.

How I Met Your Mother's eighth season premieres on CBS on Sept. 24.
