How Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Ensure ‘Privacy’ At Frogmore Cottage Home
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ensure their privacy at their new home.
Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would have a separate household from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. In April, Prince Harry and Markle moved to their new home, Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor.
According to a royal expert, Prince Harry and Markle are very keen on keeping their privacy. They made the Grade II listed building their “fortress.”
“We know that they're living this wonderful tucked away life at Frogmore Cottage which is pretty much, from what I hear, a fortress. Privacy's the key factor,” Katie Nicholl told presenter Christine Lampard on ITV’s “Lorraine.”
Just recently, a new shocking reason surfaced why Prince Harry and Markle opted to move to Frogmore Cottage. Initially, many thought that the couple wanted to be away from Prince William and Kate Middleton due to their alleged feud. When the Sussexes moved out, some interpreted it a a sign that the fab four indeed had a falling-out.
However, a new report suggested that it was down to “security scare” in Kensington Palace. The local council reportedly gave public access to the security plans for Kensington Palace and the couple was not comfortable with that.
Former Scotland Yard protection officer Dai Davies also believed that the plan should have not been made public because the royal family sparks interest.
“I’m speechless that lessons have still not been learned by those responsible for their security,” Davies said.
“The problem you have got is not just terrorists, it's ‘fixated persons’. There is a list at Scotland Yard of people who have an unhealthy interest in the Royal Family. You wouldn’t want someone like that getting hold of it.”
Despite the rumored feud, Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle continued to attend royal engagements together. They were last seen together at a charity polo match where both princes played for competing teams.
Prince Willam’s team won. However, body language expert said that the Duke of Cambridge ignored the Duke of Sussex’s hug attempt. Judi James pointed out that the game somehow rekindled their brotherly love and warmth since it was the closest they have been in months.
