How Prince Harry Acknowledged Big Brother Prince William’s Future Role As King

Prince Harry knew that Prince William will be king one day.

When the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex were still kids, both already knew that Prince William will be a monarch. Prince Harry didn’t feel bad and was even proud that he didn’t share the same fate as his big brother because it would give him more freedom.

According to Princess Diana’s protection officer Ken Wharfe in the “Robert Jobson’s Royal Podcast,” when Prince William and Prince Harry were still children, they were in a vehicle with the late Princess of Wales and the boys’ nanny when suddenly Prince Harry turned to Prince William and said something about his future role as a king.

“It’s alright, I can do anything because I won’t be King. You will be, therefore I can do what I want,” little Prince Harry said.

Wharfe noted how Prince William “gleefully like” his younger brother’s declaration. The second-in-line to the throne was reportedly happy that there was an “acknowledgment that at least his brother knew that he would be king.”

Wharfe added that although Prince William is closer to the line of succession, Princess Diana felt that Prince Harry would also make a good ruler. In fact, she called her youngest son “Good King Harry.”

At present, there are rumors that Prince William and Prince Harry are not on good terms. Just recently, the dukes stepped out with their dad, Prince Charles.

The royal trio attended the launch of Sir David Attenborough’s new Netflix documentary. Body language expert Peter Clayton commented on Prince William and Prince Harry’s action saying that they barely exchanged words and avoided eye contact.

He pointed out that on the said event, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s husband’s behavior were very different and it showed a “more serious falling out.” He also noticed that there was no attempt from each other to hide their indifference because both kept their distance.

Nicole Cliffe, a Canadian writer and journalist, shared her opinion about the matter. According to her, Prince William and Prince Harry’s “frosty relationship” could be due to the rumors that the Duke of Cambridge cheated on his wife and had nothing to do with Markle.
