The “Dancing With the Stars” teams have been working hard to prepare for Week 2 of the competition. Eric McCandless/ABC

Week two and the first elimination are finally here on Season 8 of “Dancing With the Stars,” and the teams are working hard to make sure they bring stellar routines to the floor to hopefully impress the judges with higher scores and win America’s votes, especially since one of them will be saying goodbye to the competition when the night comes to an end.

After already facing harsh critiques from the judges during week one of the ABC competition series, the teams will need to do whatever it takes to change their minds in week two. However, no matter how well they perform, one team will need to say goodbye.

Naturally, the pressure to not be the first team eliminated has led the pairs to be hard at work as they try to impress with their new routines. Here’s how they spent the last week rehearsing and hoping they’ll be able to impress:

After impressing the judges with a Foxtrot that earned 18 points (after only three days of rehearsals), Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Val Chmerkovskiy are working to make sure their Rumba will be equally impressive—especially since they were able to take a few extra days to perfect their routine. The model, who took over for her mom after a devastating injury, shared an image of herself and her partner as they struck a pose in rehearsals, and her caption teases that she’s ready to go.

Ally Brooke has been putting the time in to improve from the score of 16 she and Sasha Farber earned in Week one, but unfortunately or the former Fifth Harmony singer, her partner may be having some issues, if a video she posted of their rehearsal is any indication.

Team AlanbamaHannah

While Hannah Brown shared that she needed a break from practice at one point, Alan Bersten was focusing on keeping fans guessing when It came to what style of dance they’ll be performing.

Kate Flannery and Pasha Pashkov earned 15 points on their mutual debuts on the show, and while they tapped into her waitress past as they started last week’s Cha Cha, it appears this week’s routine will see them take on new characters.

Who trains harder: the NFL or DWTS?! _ #workoutwednesday

A post shared by Cheryl Burke (@cherylburke) on

Cheryl Burke isn’t on for letting her partners slack off, and she isn’t giving Ray Lewis a chance to do that either. The dancer shared a photo of rehearsals where she forced him to train against a wall—and asked her followers which was harder to do—dance or play football.

Team Tonkyhonk (Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko), Team DanceWitKel (Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson), TeamSweetandSpicey (Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold), TeamSupreme (Mary Wilson and Brandon Armstrong), Karamo and Jenna Johnson, Lamar Odom and Peta Murgatroyd and James Van der Beek and Emma Slater all decided to keep their routines and practices under wraps this week, so fans will have to wait and see what happens on the dance floor.

"Dancing With the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
