‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’ Trailer Reveals Ticket Presale Date; Focuses On Katniss And Prim's Relationship
The latest “Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” trailer is sure to excite many fans. Not only does it show Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) bonding with her sister, but it also reveals when fans can buy tickets for the upcoming blockbuster.
Presale tickets for the dystopian drama will be available on Oct. 1. Lionsgate apparently expects the finale to have a massive turnout when it’s released on Nov. 20. The tickets are available nearly a month earlier than they were for the third movie in the series.
The presale date is one of the few new pieces of information in the trailer. Unlike the first previews for the “Mockingjay Part 2,” the latest video is mostly flashbacks of Katniss with her sister, Prim (Willow Shields), while the present-day Katniss stands in a foggy background in her black Mockingjay suit. The trailer chronicles the best of their relationship, from Katniss taking care of her in District 12 and volunteering in her place for the Hunger Games, to Prim assuring Katniss that she’s vital to the revolution.
“Her sacrifice is the ultimate tribute,” the trailer says.

Gale wasn’t featured in this trailer, but his portrayer Liam Hemsworth recently praised the fourth film in the series. “I think it might be the best one,” he told MTV. “It’s more action-packed for sure. I think start to finish it just doesn’t give up. The whole time you feel like anyone could be killed at any moment. It’s like that in all of them but I feel like this is, the stakes are a little higher.”
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” will follow Katniss and Gale as they go on a mission to leave District 13 and confront President Snow (Donald Sutherland). Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Moore, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer and Woody Harrelson also star. The movie hits theaters Nov. 20.
