Former supermodel Iman Abdulmajid confirmed the passing of her mother, Maryan Baadi, on Instagram Friday morning. The mother of two posted a sweet photo of her mother and father alongside her and husband David Bowie, who died in January, along with a farewell message.

The throwback picture appears to be from Abdulmajid and Bowie’s wedding day. She is shown resting her head on her father’s shoulder while her mother proudly stands between her and the “Space Oddity” singer. Abdulmajid shared with her followers that her mother had, in fact, died. She wrote that she was “saddened” by her passing, sharing her hope that Allah would “grant her the highest jennah [SIC]”— which is the eternal resting place for Muslims. Abdulmajid requested privacy for her and her family during this difficult time. According to Entertainment Tonight Baadi died earlier this week. The exact date of her passing remains uncertain.

Baadi’s death comes just two months after Bowie’s. Abdulmajid has been vocal in the wake of her husband’s passing, sharing tributes to the beloved singer from time to time. On Feb. 16, just before the 58th annual Grammy Awards, she took to Instagram to post a moving memorial of her own to her late husband. Abdulmajid snapped a photo of a custom sweater from Gucci’s Fall 2016 collection. The garment said “Bowie” across the shoulders and was adorned with several colorful birds, hearts and butterflies. She made no mention of her husband in the photo caption, but her intention seemed clear.
