The Incredible Story of Caroline Strawson Proves That There's a Way Forward After Relationship Trauma
If you're a woman who has dealt with trauma from a toxic relationship with a narcissist, Caroline Strawson is the motivator you need in your life. She's been to hell and back, has lived to tell, and now helps women in similar situations not just survive but thrive.
Strawson's personal story of courage in the face of trauma following marriage to a covert narcissist is as inspirational as it is improbable. In a relatively short time, she went from being $100,000 in debt, homeless, and dealing with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts to running a seven-figure business helping women in the position she once was.
"I think I am unique in that I walk the walk and talk the talk," she says. "I was at rock bottom, penniless and homeless. I have completely turned my life around emotionally and financially, and now I am also remarried. My approach is integrating trauma-informed practice with positive psychology, somatic healing, and internal family systems, and no one other than my students is doing this."
Strawson cultivated this approach from rigorous training and background in multiple disciplines. Some of her over 15 accreditations include being a Certified High-Performance Coach, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Master Hypnotherapy Trainer, Wim Hof Certified Instructor in Training, Accredited Divorce and Breakup Coach, and a Certified Breathwork Teacher.
Additionally, she earned a PgDip in Applied Psychology and Coaching Psychology, is an ICF Accredited Trauma-Informed Certified Coach, and is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council.
Her approach is based on somatic healing and positive psychology. "Narcissistic abuse is so misunderstood, and I bring a fresh take to it by looking at it from a trauma-informed lens and integrating it with positive psychology, which is the scientific study of what makes people happy," she says. "I help people realize they can lead an even better life because of being victimized by a narcissist. I bring a somatic look at healing trauma."
To use her powerful phrase, she helps women who have been traumatized by narcissists lift themselves via "post-traumatic growth." "Using the term 'post-traumatic growth' is in my work a lot to give people hope after narcissistic abuse," she says.
Strawson has many avenues she uses to help women. One is her IFC and PCD-accredited School of Embodiment Trauma Informed Living program, which allows those fighting trauma due to narcissistic abuse on their post-traumatic growth journey. The program also teaches others how to do her critical work.
Another vital resource is Strawson's free monthly Masterclasses, with topics ranging from The Attachment Style of a Narcissist to Positive Parenting with a Narcissist. You can find out about upcoming Masterclasses on her Facebook page.
She is also active across social media platforms, conveying her international message of hope to her audience of over 100,000. Her free Facebook support group has over 30,000 members, while her cost-friendly healing membership group, Thrivers, has over 1,000. Strawson's YouTube channel is filled with illuminating resources.
