The iPhone 11 series is undoubtedly the best iPhone lineup that Apple has made in recent years. All three models feature the fastest and most powerful processors in an iPhone, and also feature the best camera setup from Cupertino.

The iPhone 11 Pro's camera setup, whether people call them ugly or not, are proven to produce the best smartphone camera shots of any smartphone at the moment. Various experts hail the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max as the best in mobile photography. Their camera features, notably Night Mode and Deep Fusion, allow them to produce high-quality images that other smartphones cannot.

Those who think the iPhone 11 series of devices are great at mobile photography can take their game up a notch with some help from the pros. USA Today asked some tips from pro photographers who use the iPhone 11 Pro for their own mobile photography projects. Here's what they had to say:

Portrait Mode

Portrait Mode allows users to take stunning portraits by focusing on the subject while blurring out everything in the background. Photographer Aundre Larrow recommends taking this to another level by creating physical distance between the subject and the background.

“Create distance. The more physical distance between your subject and the background, the more separation your iPhone can create for you,” Landre said.

Night Mode

Landre also said iPhone 11 users will be able to take the “crispest” images by identifying their main source of light and standing firm while taking photos.

“Have your subject face [the light source] in order to get the most light possible. Then stand firm, keeping your balance by placing both feet on the ground and tucking in your elbows to avoid camera shake,” Landre said.

Professional photographer Erin Brooks also suggested playing with light to maximize the effects of Night Mode. He said iPhone 11 users can take stunning images even without the help of artificial lights such as flashes.

Ultra Wide Angle

Pro photographer Matt Von Swol recommends taking landscape shots using the iPhone 11 series' ultra-wide angle camera. Von Swol adds that users might need to give a bit more effort to bend or lower themselves in order to get fantastic shots.
