iPhone SE 2 To Be Released This Month?

Previous reports revealed that Apple had a struggle when COVID-19 struck China earlier. The outbreak caused a lot of problems for Cupertino; troubles that aren't limited to slow sales due to safety policies public fears that led to fewer people on the streets – the iPhone maker was actually forced to shut stores down and halt production in its factories.

Despite the company's struggles with closed offices and factories as well as strict travel restrictions that were limited to “business critical,” the iPhone maker has been reported to continue the production of at least one of its highly anticipated handsets slated for release this year. This handset, in fact, might even be the most awaited of all its devices.

That handset is the successor to the iPhone SE, dubbed the iPhone SE 2 or the iPhone 9.

Launching real soon

In an effort to prevent COVID-19 from further delaying and derailing its plans and negatively affect its businesses, Apple decided to move some of its productions to locations outside China, particularly to Taiwan and China.

The decision to move production paved the way for the tech giant to continue working on the upcoming iPhone SE successor, earlier reports said. The company reportedly still has some trouble working on its upcoming flagship devices, but is able to work on its most affordable handset for the year.

What will the device feature?

The iPhone SE successor is widely reported to come in a body the size of the iPhone 8. It is expected to feature a 4.7-inch display which is perfect for those with small hands. It is expected to feature thick bezels at the top and bottom, and though it might not have Face ID, it can bee xpected to feature the return of Touch ID on any modern iPhone model. It can also be expected to feature the A13 chip.

Now, the most important question here is how much will it cost to buy one, and when can people actually buy one? The device is expected to fetch a $399 selling price, which is cheaper than any iPhone 11 series device, and can be expected to launch on March 31 if CNet is correct.
