‘It Was Always You’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel’s “Love Ever After” programming event comes to a close with the premiere of the last new film for the 2021 event, “It Was Always You,” starring Erin Krakow and Tyler Hynes.
When it comes to the casting for this film, Hallmark fans are in for a treat with two network favorites, who despite their extensive titles between them, have yet to actually star together—until now. Krakow is best known for her long-running role as Elizabeth on the network’s hit series “When Calls the Heart,” but she also starred in Hallmark Channel’s “A Summer Romance” in the past. Her other credits include a series of films on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries including “Finding Father Christmas,” “Engaging Father Christmas,” “Marrying Father Christmas” and “Sense, Sensibility and Snowmen.”
As for Hynes, who may also be known for his roles outside Hallmark, including Lifetime’s “Deadly Double Cross” and as Dierks on “Letterkenny,” his Hallmark credits are extensive. Roles in the last few years include the films “Falling For You,” “It’s Christmas, Eve,” “Flip That Romance,” “Wedding March 5: My Boyfriend’s Back,” “The Mistletoe Secret,” “Winter in Vail” and “On The 12th Date of Christmas.”
So what will happen when these two team up for this exciting project? According to a synopsis, some long-awaited wedding plans may go awry—forcing the characters to look hard at what they really want from their lives.
“Elizabeth’s (Krakow) engagement plans are thrown into disarray when a storm causes her fiancé to be stuck on the other side of town, while she is left trying to finalize last minute details,” the synopsis reads. “Having her fiancé's free-spirited brother David (Hynes) back home also doesn’t help the situation. With her engagement party looming and a million things to do, David’s unexpected influence prompts Elizabeth to question her life decisions.”
Will one of those decisions involve who she actually wants to marry?
“It Was Always You” premieres Saturday, Feb. 27 at 9 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
