Ivanka Trump: Author Claims POTUS’ Daughter ‘Arrogant,’ ‘Ignorant,’ Has No ‘Intellectual Curiosity’
KEY POINTS
- Ivanka Trump has no intellectual curiosity.
- Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are ignorant and arrogant.
- Ivanka Trump faced backlash.
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, were recently criticized due to their less appealing personalities.
In the 2019 book “Kushner Inc.,” author Vicky Ward shed light on what it’s really like to interact with the POTUS’ daughter and son-in-law. Ivanka serves as her father’s senior adviser on women’s issues, while her husband acts as the president’s senior adviser on strategic planning.
Ward said that beneath the couple’s well-mannered and self-controlled façade was a toxic mix of arrogance and ignorance. Ward shared details from Elizabeth Spiers’ visit to the couple’s apartment and said that the former editor for Observer noticed that there was not a single book in sight.
The author said that some people disputed Spiers’ observation by saying that there are some art books and decorator-curated books in the couple’s apartment. But Ward still stressed the fact that Ivanka and Kushner didn’t seem to have intellectual curiosity.
During a previous interview, Kushner said that he loves one of the lines from Charles Dickens’ novel, “A Tale of Two Cities,” which read: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” But Kushner also admitted to one of his office visitors that he has not actually read the book.
Meanwhile, Ivanka has also been pitted against First Lady Melania Trump. According to CNN, the two women have always been cordial, but they were never close.
There is also an odd dynamic between the two especially when they join President Trump on his trips. When the FLOTUS joins her husband on his trips, Ivanka reportedly takes a backseat and vice versa.
During President Trump’s campaign three years ago, it was his daughter Ivanka who was regularly seen with him. This has led some supporters to think that the first daughter is more involved in politics than the first lady.
But during her interview with Parenting magazine in 2017, she said that she is a mother first and the FLOTUS second.
“I am a full-time mom; that is my first job,” she said.
