'Jane The Virgin' Season 2 Spoilers: 'The Passions Of Santos' Released As A Novel

The team behind the TV series “Jane The Virgin” has authorized a fan-fiction novel, which details the story of the telenovela “The Passions of Santos.” Fans of the series are familiar with the telenovela, which stars Rogelio dela Vega (Jaime Camil), as the main character, Santos. It is essentially a telenovela within a telenovela and now, the story is being released via the online writer's’ platform Wattpad.

According to a report by Remezcla, the fan-fiction style novel, has been officially authorized by “Jane The Virgin” executive producer Jennie Snyder-Urman. It will follow the same dramatic, hilarious and over-the top style of the telenovela, as seen on the TV show.

“The Passions of Santos” is the telenovela which propelled Rogelio to fame, in the years that he’s been estranged from his daughter Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) and her mother, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo). The Wattpad site describes the story as follows:

“Prepare to embark on the greatest love story ever told as Santos, the President of North Ecuaduras, and Blanca, the daughter of a poor farmer, fall passionately in love. Together, Santos and Blanca must take on the high seas, fight evil pirates, reunite with long-lost relatives and more! There will be murder, chaos, betrayal and blood… but mostly, there will be passion.”

Fans of the hit comedy series “Jane The Virgin” will have to wait a few weeks before Season 2 returns after the winter break. However, the time can be used to enjoy “The Passions of Santos,” the novel. The first five chapters have already been released, and are accessible online for free.
