‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 3 Spoilers: Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni Goof On The Set With Brett Dier
It seems like the stars of “Jane the Virgin” are trying to send fans a message about Michael Cordero’s (Brett Dier) true fate.
For now, Michael is fighting for his life in the hospital since he was shot during the Season 2 finale. But if the hilarious set photos being shared by Gina Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni are any indication, fans need not worry much about Michael.
Rodriguez, who plays lead star Jane Gloriana Villanueva in the show, posted a cute photo of herself exiting her trailer while wearing a Ghostbusters t-shirt on her Instagram account (@hereisgina). Dier was seen behind her with a shaver on hand. “Who ya gonna call?!?! Brett Dier?...maybe...actually I don't know,” she captioned the photo.
Meanwhile, Baldoni, who plays hotelier Rafael Solano (and Michael’s rival for Jane’s affections), also posted a photo with Dier on his Instagram account (@justinbaldoni). The two men were seen lifting weights, but Michael’s dumbbell was significantly smaller than the one being used by Baldoni. “Just another day at the gym on @cwjanethevirgin #marbellafitness #teamrafaelandmichael,” the actor wrote.
With Michael's life hanging on the balance, the show is expected to change things up next season. Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman even teased that Jane will finally be losing her virginity this Season 3.
“She does lose her virginity this year,” she confirmed with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s in the first half of the season, and it’s quite a big episode for us.”
However, Urman did not say whether Jane will have sex with either Michael or her baby daddy Rafael.
As for Rodriguez, she said that having sex will have a huge impact on Jane’s psyche. “How is [losing her virginity] going to play into her life, her psychology, how she views herself and how she views her intimacy?” said Rodriguez. “There’s an evolution.”
“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
