‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 3 Spoilers: Producer Teases ‘Lots Of Love Interests’ For Jane

It was difficult seeing Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) navigate the dating field once again after she has finally come to terms with the death of her husband, Michael Cordero (Brett Dier). Jane was awkward and nervous at best, but her family and friends were all very supportive as she put herself out there again.

“Jane the Virgin” executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman told Deadline that Jane will have a couple of suitors in the upcoming episodes, and it’s going to be a lot of fun watching her sort things out romantically.

“There is a lot of light and joy that are coming back. There are love interests, but it’s all, ‘how does she move on from all of this?'” Urman explained. “At this point in the story there is no life without Mateo, Jane is a mom, she can’t imagine her life without him. For this character who is such a planner, these curveballs are really important to keep her growing and changing and moving and keep the storytelling not stale.”

One of these suitors is probably going to be the character played by “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey. Posey will play someone from Jane’s past, and he will have a recurring role next season.

Posey’s character will be introduced during the Season 3 finale, so his entrance is probably going to leave fans with a lot of questions. Will he be a childhood crush or Jane’s boyfriend prior to Michael?

It’s also possible that the show will air some flashback episodes featuring Michael, since Rodriguez posted a photo of the cast on Instagram with Dier.
