Javi Marroquin-Kailyn Lowry Divorce Rumors 2016: ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Stirs Drama With Cryptic Tweets
“Teen Mom 2” personality Javi Marroquin sparked rumors he and wife Kailyn Lowry were headed toward divorce when he tweeted about having to let her go. The mysterious messages apparently caught Lowry off guard, days after she went skydiving.
“I had to let go of us to show myself what I could do,” Marroquin tweeted Wednesday. “What a time to be alive.” He responded to a fan who asked about his sons, Isaac and Lincoln, saying he missed them.
The MTV reality-television personality, who is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force overseas, later backpedaled and said he was just quoting a Drake song. “Those are drakes lyrics chill out. I’m excited for his concert so I’m on my drake game now,” he tweeted. “And if you wanna know about my marriage ... We’re on TV. You’ll find out eventually.”
Even though Marroquin chalked his tweets up to being a Drake fan, Lowry appeared as confused by his cryptic messages as her fans were. “I don’t know what’s going on,” she told Radar Online in an exclusive interview Wednesday. “Being there is messing with his head, I’m sure. My head is exactly where your head is.” As for the state of their relationship, she said they were still married.
The last time fans saw the reality-TV personalities on “Teen Mom 2,” Marroquin had already deployed to Qatar. She cried on the phone with him when he said he felt like he was in prison. He left in mid-January to begin his tour. And he may not return to their home in Delaware until September.
“It’s hard for Kail, but I wouldn’t say she’s sad,” a source told Radar Online in February. “They’ve been through this before. It doesn’t make it any easier on her, but she understands this is part of his job and how he provides for their family.”
The mother of two has been finding a way to make it through this time. She recently jumped out of a plane and documented her experience on social media. “Some people change their hair color when they’re going through a big change in their life. ... Some people go skydiving,” she tweeted Monday.
