Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt Co-Starring In Upcoming Movie? Truth About Rumor
Are Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt really working on a movie together? A new tabloid report is claiming that the exes are planning to "team up on movie projects," but this rumor has now been debunked.
NW claimed in a new report that Pitt and Aniston, who were married for five years before divorcing in 2005, are planning to make some films together. Pitt's estranged wife, Angelina Jolie, will reportedly "blow a gasket" when she finds out what the two are planning, claims a so-called "source."
In the report, the tabloid quoted an unnamed source as saying that Aniston and her first ex-husband are only in the “brainstorming stage and going over some of those old scripts that didn’t get off the ground” when they had a production company. The questionable tipster further claimed that Pitt and the "Friends" star want to start the project as soon as possible.
“They’ve always been a great foil for each other professionally,” the unnamed source asserted. “Jen brings out Brad’s more light-hearted side, while he encourages her to take on more challenging roles.”
The untraceable source added that Pitt is reportedly confident that Aniston could win an Oscar and that them co-starring in the movie would guarantee its success.
However, there is no truth to these claims, as Gossip Cop confirmed with both Pitt's and Aniston's camps. The actor's rep said that the report is a fabrication, and Aniston's spokesperson said the same.
Rumors about the ex-couple have been surfacing more and more after Pitt attended Aniston's star-studded 50th birthday party back in February. However, it has already been confirmed that the actor only came to the bash to show his support for his ex-wife, whom he considers a friend now, according to Us Weekly.
While some rumors claimed that the two may have rekindled their romance at the party, the truth is that Aniston only talked to Pitt briefly as she had many guests at the bash.
“Jen spoke to Brad briefly,” a source told Us Weekly. “At one point, she hugged him and thanked him for coming. … It didn’t seem like that big of a deal to Jen. The invite went out to a ton of people and he accepted. She was happy he was there, but that was it.”
The insider went on to say that Pitt mostly hung out with his "old pals" at the gathering, which was also attended by George and Amal Clooney, Reese Witherspoon, Ellen DeGeneres, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and more celebrities.
