Jennifer Garner has a new pet!
The "Miracles from Heavens" star took to Instagram on Monday to share a hilarious photo of her enjoying her daily walk with her pet hen. "If there isn't a Chicken Lady Day, there really should be. Man, my life gets more exciting all the time," the mom-of-three wrote in the caption.
Garner introduced her pet to her followers. "Meet one of our ladies, Regina George," she wrote. The hen was named after the popular antagonist of the movie "Mean Girls" played by Rachel McAdams. According to Garner, her hen loves long walks, dehydrated bugs and kale. However, she hates carbs.
Many found Garner's post hilarious. "I wish there was a haha button on Twitter cos this really deserves a haha #walk," one follower commented. "You are so funny. #AliasForever," another one added.
Some of her followers also approved of Garner's choice of having a chicken as her new pet. "Chickens are such great friends," one user commented. "Oh my lord!!!! You are the best @jennifer.garner !!! I have a house chicken who is the love of my life!!! This makes me so happy!!" another follower named chicken_momma95 wrote. "My friend used to walk her little chicken. This pic made me smile," another user said.
Garner has been spreading good vibes on Instagram. Days before Halloween, the "13 Going on 30" star shared a clip of herself reading "Room on the Broom" to her dog, who is seated on her lap. The two have matching eyeglasses. In addition, her pet is wearing a purple hat.
Her followers adored the photo and her dog. "How did you find this? I love it! Halloween & dogs! What more can you ask for?" one fan commented. "Not to mention Jennifer G is one of the sweetest people ever."
Garner joined Instagram in September. In her first post, she shared a clip of herself arranging letters that read: "I am officially on Instagram! So, please follow me because isn't that how this works..."
In October, Ben Affleck's estranged wife explained why she decided to join the social media site. "First of all I started Insta-stalking people, mostly ballerinas," Garner told E! News. "But I've so enjoyed watching dancers that I admire from afar and feeling like I get a little insight into their lives and so it just seemed like, 'OK that makes more sense to me.' I don't have to go any deeper than I wanna go, I can kind of be in charge of it. So we're having fun with it. It's just my house!"
