Jennifer Garner Reportedly Not Ready To Date, Is Still Figuring Things Out With Ex-Husband Ben Affleck

Despite doing a great job keeping up appearances, Jennifer Garner is still reportedly feeling the negative affects of her recent split with long-time husband of 10 years, Ben Affleck. After spending a lot of time together, mostly with their three children, sources say the actress still isn’t ready to think about dating someone else.

The report comes from People, which cites a source claiming that, while Garner is falling into a rhythm with her ex-husband and their children, she’s going to be too busy focusing on getting things back to a sense of normalcy before she’ll have the brain bandwidth to consider finding someone new.

“She can’t even imagine dating,” the source told the outlet. “It will probably be a long time before she is able to move on romantically.”

It’s not surprising that the 30-year-old “Alias” and “Dallas Buyers Club” actress isn’t looking to fill the void left by her ex-husband given that, frankly, there doesn’t seem to be a void to fill yet. Although the couple announced their divorce in June, they’ve been maintaining a friendly relationship for the sake of their children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. According to Us Weekly, they were photographed together with bright, big smiles while at a farmers market on Sept. 20. This is all happening despite rumors that the 43-year-old “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” star caused the split by having an affair with the couple’s nanny. However, representatives for the actor have vehemently denied these allegations.

Although the former couple wants to ensure that they’re a unified presence in their children’s lives, their interactions have not been limited to just family outings. Entertainment Tonight reports that the former couple was seen outside a popular Los Angeles night spot together without the kids. Although Affleck and Garner both arrived and left together, the outlet reports there was nothing that went on to fuel speculation that they’re getting back together. Still, with her ex-husband still a constant presence in her life, it’s not surprising that those close to her are getting the hint that she won’t be ready for a setup for quite some time.
