Jennifer Garner Spotted With Ben Affleck’s Mother Amid ‘Gone Girl’ Star And Kate Beckinsale’s Reunion Reports

Jennifer Garner was spotted with Ben Affleck’s mother Christine Anne Boldt Sunday, a day after a report said that a “spark” remained between Affleck and newly single Kate Beckinsale. Garner’s daughter, Seraphina, accompanied her and Boldt as they strolled in Los Angeles.

Garner’s casual outing with her mother-in-law came less than two weeks after she was seen with Affleck spending family time with their children in West Hollywood, California. In October, it was reported that Boldt was helping Affleck cope with his separation from Garner.

"Ben's mum Christine is in full control of everything right now as he picks up the pieces from his broken marriage," a source reportedly said at the time. "Chris' boys, Casey and Ben, have always been the apple of her eye, ever since her husband left her. Ben's always been close to his mum, but he seems to have taken it to a whole new level since the split," the insider added.

On Saturday, the Sun newspaper reported that Beckinsale, who recently separated from director husband Len Wiseman, was seeking support from Affleck. The two were rumored to have been dating briefly after starring in the 2001 movie “Pearl Harbor” together.

“Kate used to be madly in love with Ben. He would make her giddy with excitement any time they were in the same room. She’s turned to him for support as a friend because they’ve stayed in touch during her difficult time. Some of their friends have suggested that they’re made for each other and should give a proper relationship a go,” a source told the tabloid.
