Jennifer Garner is happy and excited that Americans can now go out mask-free and no longer have to practice social distancing after being fully vaccinated.

The "Yes Day" star joined first lady Dr. Jill Biden on a trip to West Virginia Thursday to celebrate the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's new mask-free guidelines. The actress and FLOTUS were both mask-less when they visited and spoke at Capital High School where they encouraged teens to get COVID-19 shots. The CDC announced Wednesday that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is safe for kids aged 12 to 15.

"We are thrilled to just be getting back to normal. It's so exciting," Garner was quoted by E! News as saying. "I kind of can't believe I'm standing here without a mask on, looking at mask-less faces."

"President [Joe] Biden said he would get us vaccinated. And, boy, did he mean it," she continued. "The most important thing we can do is get this virus behind us. In order to do that, we've got to get anyone with vaccine hesitancy into these chairs and get a shot into their arms."

Garner and ex-husband Ben Affleck share three children together — Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9. Their youngest is still too young to qualify, but Garner is excited about her two daughters getting vaccinated. The "13 Going On 30" star said her kids were aware of what was happening and that she wished they were there with her.

"Things are getting better every day. Vaccinated friends and family are able to take off their masks, which we just learned," Garner added.

A group of junior Reserve Officer Training Corps officers greeted the FLOTUS and the Hollywood star when they arrived at the school. Biden remarked, "I know you just want to see Jennifer Garner," according to the New York Post.

"They've seen me their whole lives! Thank you for your service, kids," Garner responded.

Meanwhile, Garner is reportedly unbothered by the news of her ex-husband hanging out with his ex-fiancée, Jennifer Lopez. An insider told Entertainment Tonight that Garner "wants what is best" for Affleck and doesn't mind him dating as long as he remains a good dad to their children.

The "Argo" star and the "Maid in Manhattan" actress were spotted spending Mother's Day weekend together in Montana. And Affleck has reportedly been sending Lopez sweet messages via email since February, when she was filming "Shotgun Wedding" in the Dominican Republic, TMZ reported.

But while he's been hanging out with Lopez, Affleck didn't forget to pay sweet tribute to Garner on Mother's Day. In his post, he said he was happy to share their kids with her and that they were the "luckiest parents in the world."
