Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck Kiss Through Their Masks As They Make Met Gala Debut

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez packed on the PDA as they made their Met Gala debut as a couple Monday.

Affleck, 49, let Lopez, 52, own the spotlight solo on the red carpet but joined her inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala. The couple, who wore the same designer to the event, was then spotted sharing sweet kisses through their masks, People reported.

Both stars adhered to the event's "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" theme. Affleck looked dapper in a classic black Ralph Lauren tuxedo.

Meanwhile, Lopez stunned in a custom, dark brown Ralph Lauren gown that took a team of 15 artisans more than 12 days to finish, according to the brand. The dress featured a plunging neckline, thigh-high slit, Couture bustier, crystal embroidery and braided leather trim.

Lopez paired the gown with a custom, hand-made faux fur cape featuring a mix of leather, suede and shearling fringe along with a spattering of crystal beadwork that reportedly took more than 200 hours to finish. She also wore a Navajo-stamped silver ring and silver jewelry from the Ralph Lauren archives.

The "Hustlers" actress completed the look with a face mask that was color-coordinated with her dress and a black fedora hat.

Lopez also showed off her Met Gala look on Instagram, and the photos have received 1.2 million likes in less than four hours.

"I actually love! It’s so different, and I love when you take risks like this!" one follower commented. "Yes, baby!!!! You look amazing," internet mogul Lorin Ridinger wrote.

Lopez and Affleck were fresh from Venice, where they made their red carpet return after rekindling their romance earlier this year.

They attended the premiere of Affleck's movie "The Last Duel" during the Venice International Film Festival. It was their first red carpet appearance together in 18 years.

Fans and celebrity pals adored the couple's red carpet photos, including his ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow. "Okay, this is cute," Paltrow commented on Lopez's stylist Mariel Haenn's post on Instagram.
