Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck will tie the knot for the second time after their low-key Las Vegas wedding, and she invited a close friend to officiate the ceremony.
Lopez, 53, and Affleck, 50, will celebrate their marriage over the weekend by exchanging vows in front of their family and friends. The couple will have the celebrity life coach and big-time podcaster Jay Shetty officiate their wedding in Georgia, Page Six reported.
Shetty has hosted many celebrities, including Kobe Bryant, Will Smith, Gwyneth Paltrow and more on his "On Purpose" podcast. The British spiritual star and former Hindu monk also officiated Lily Collins' wedding to Charlie McDowell in Colorado last September.
Shetty and the "Let's Get Loud" singer have reportedly been close pals for a couple of years. Lopez even appeared on his show multiple times.
Affleck's wife appeared on Shetty's YouTube series "Coach Conversations" last summer. During the interview, the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" hitmaker shared her relationship struggles over the years.
"There [was] a lot of talk about loving yourself, and I was like 'I love myself!' But obviously, I was doing all of these things in my personal relationship that didn't seem like I was loving myself, but I didn't even understand the concept of it," Lopez said when she was doing therapy in her 30s, according to Page Six. "I took time, and it's a journey, and it's still a journey for me."
Lopez also invited him to officiate four weddings that she orchestrated as part of a PR stunt for her movie "Marry Me" in February.
The promo featured Lopez and Maluma performing a special concert in Los Angeles and Shetty officiating the wedding of four couples on stage. The internet personality shared a snap with Lopez on social media at the time.
"When @jlo asks you to officiate 4 weddings and speak on the power of love during her @MarryMeMovie Special Performance you say yes," he wrote on Instagram. "What an incredible experience it was seeing 4 beautiful couples take their vows and having Jennifer Lopez and @maluma as their wedding singers! Their stories and journeys brought tears to everyone's eyes, and I'm so grateful I got to be a part of it."
Shetty said he loved romantic comedy movies. He also thanked Lopez for "bringing so much joy to everyone through this movie."
Lopez and Affleck will have a three-day celebration over the weekend. It will kick off with a rehearsal dinner Friday, their wedding ceremony the following day and culminate with a barbecue and picnic Sunday. The event will reportedly be documented by Vogue magazine.
