Jennifer Lopez Spends Quality Time With Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner's Teen Daughter In NYC

Jennifer Lopez and her new stepdaughter Violet spent some one-on-one time together in New York City over the weekend.

On Sunday, one day before Ben Affleck celebrated his 50th birthday, the 53-year-old actress was seen strolling the streets of the Big Apple with 16-year-old Violet, whom the "Argo" director shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, along with 13-year-old daughter Seraphina and 10-year-old son Samuel, Daily Mail reported.

Lopez and her stepdaughter sported casual outfits and minimal makeup during the outing, according to a video of the pair published by the outlet.

The "Marry Me" actress wore an oversized white top, gray skin-tight shorts and white sneakers. She completed her look with a Gucci crossbody bag and aviator sunglasses.

Violet, for her part, opted to wear a pair of orange cropped pants, a T-shirt and rainbow-colored sandals.

The pair were followed by a bodyguard as they went shopping. In the video, the teen appeared to be uneasy as photographers took snaps of her and her stepmom making their way into a store.

The outing comes weeks after Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16. Violet was reportedly not present during the nuptials and instead stayed at home with Garner, 50. An unnamed well-placed Hollywood insider told Page Six at the time that the teen was "extremely loyal to her mom."

But Lopez got to bond with Violet and her siblings when the singer and Affleck brought all their children along on a post-wedding getaway to France last month. Lopez's 14-year-old twins Emme and Max, whom she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, also joined them.

But while the blended family appeared to have had a blast during the trip, an unnamed source told Page Six that they struggled with the paparazzi following their every move in Paris.

"Ben was a little freaked out in Paris. This was a whole new level," said the source, adding that the level of media attention the couple received following their nuptials was "almost Princess-Diana level."

Despite being used to the flashing lights, the insider said that Affleck was upset because he "felt that the honeymoon was a tsunami." On the other hand, Lopez is "made out of steel and knows it comes with the territory," according to the source.

Lopez and Affleck are set to have a double celebration this coming week. In addition to the "Justice League" star turning 50, the newlyweds will be celebrating their one-month wedding anniversary.
